The last couple of women I have dated have told thier parents that I am a nudist. The reaction I have usually had is that I am some sort of S-- pervert which I am not. How do I get across to them that nudism does not mean s--. I have told them that I am more comfortable nude and not out to have S-- with everything in site. They still have the same opinion. |

The best thing is not tell anyone you are a nudist. This may sand bad but people often have a set idea about things. For example I am a pagen, I tell someone. Thay think I am a devil worshiper that is not true but people think like that. so keep your being a nudist hosh, hosh.
Get to know the parents this is importent know the parents and the people arond your girlfrend so you will get some idea of what may happen when thay find out. Most importently let them know you.
Let them know what kind of person you are and that you are not a perv. but an okay guy that is most comfortable nude. Ho and be prepared to anser 101 Qs becouse you will be hit HARD! with them trust me. |

Hi! Interesting topic. But if your girlfriend accepts it, then Iguess it is best to be open about it and patiently explain that naturism has nothing to do with S-- and that therefore qualifications as "sexpervert"are inappropriate.
Explain what a wonderful lifestyle you and possibly your girlfriend like to have and perhaps you may, if the parents are not convinced yet, refer to some outstanding websites where the concept of nudism/naturism is explained.
I remember from my own experiences that at first I was shaking like hell so to say when I told the women I dated that I loved to be nude almost every moment I can and was even more shaking when they in turn told their relatives.
But I already soon learned that it is a matter of selfconfidence to come out for what YOU find acceptable, what YOU like and what YOUR limits are.
And if the woman you are dating, really loves you, she will not only accept your choices but also support you in those.
Good luck. |

I agree that is when there is accepts. Asking what her and/ or the parents things about nudity is the best way To find out what you wont to know, but be casual about it. |

At one time or another you will have to tell your girlfriend, because not doing so will limit your opportunities to be naked in your own home. Well, if that's ok with her, you can ask her what she thinks her parents are going to think about you (and possibly her) being nudists/naturists. It helps too if she knows things about it and can support you in the conversation.
Don't be shy, but don't go telling everybody the first chance you get either. It's nothing to be ashamed of, you know that and I know that, and it would help if your girlfriend knows it as well... |

The idea that some one is so comfortalbe in their own skin is a quite frightening to the rest of society. Because of the values set upon us from the day we are born. Your girlfriend should have known what her parents recaction would be to some one who is a nudist, and that fact should have been kept from them until such time that they could execpt the fact and have already seen you for who you are.
In the future you should keep this part of you more privet until you see that the girl and her family are ready to execpt this part of you. |

`LMAO! She told her parents who aren't nudists? That just is not smart. My situation is the opposite. I've been raised a nudist by my dad, but I do not tell most of the romantic interests I've had that we're nudists, except for one that was a nudist too. Your next gf, if her parents aren't nudists, she does NOT have to tell her parents everything! lol. Good luck!

this is a pattern that should be a huge red flag about the women uv been dating, and you might wanna rethink ur selection criteria and priorities...
as a dad i know its never easy for a 'boy' to appear worthy, and learning ur a nudist will be a jolt for any girl's textile parents, but its just dumb for a woman to inform parents she knows will react badly, and even worse if she was surprised by her parents' reaction...
id also seriously wonder about a woman if her parents have little respect for her or her choices, and if her parents' approval ultimately matters...

`Look at this way.. If you have a girlfriend who is a stripper or webcam model, you would not go tell your parents right away. You would let your parents get to know her first for who she is, not what she does. If your relationship is going well and her parents like you after a few months , then you should plan to break the news. But don't just find the right time and spew it out. Be prepared. Know her parents and have answers. Most importantly, prepare your girlfreind for an upset should there be one, and be emotionally prepared so you don't react out of emotions or pride. You can't change other people by talking or trying to convince them. If there is a negative reaction by the parents, be patient and conitnue to be the person they got to know and their shock will subside and the acceptance will eventually come. Remeber we want to be respected although we are nudists, therefore we must remember they want to be respected for their views too. If you've maintained respect and consideration for your girlfriend and her parents and things fall apart, then you have done everything you can and you can move on with peace on your mind and move on to someone who is better suited for your lifestyle.

`WOW so many interesting posts.
I for one believe in being open and honest. I agree that descretion is a must. Let potential family and/or friends get to know who you are first before exposing yourself to NEG attitude.
Its worked for me well.
